if you seen my post on talk from the field I mentioned some fields of standing barley well me and the old fella went back today to the one where we seen a lot of traffic going on it yesterday, I walked into the field and it had all gone fairly flat you could see the ground underneath it and picking shot birds would be fairly easy so we decided to have a go on it we got set up by 12.45 pm I stuck 10 enforcers out and set a pigeon up on the ff5 and that's all we used for the session it was a chance to see how the decoys performed and deliberately didn;t set up any dead birds at all they started coming in from the off we would shoot half a dozen or so then go and pick them , we did that all day and lost very few in the corn, a shooting pal of ours joined us about half way through the session and took it turns to shoot some good shooting from all 3 of us and some great hide banter to we clicked 140 we held off on a lot of shots knowing we wouldn't pick them the bag would of nudged around 180 ish after the pick up we counted 123 we had set up on a railway embankment and quite a few made it over that and was lost but only a small percent were lost from what we shot they finally dried up at 5pm so a long pickup was done then headed home

so do the decoys work obviously they do but the birds wanted that field and we were in the right spot and the ff5 brought them in along with the decoys

Suprising how un- realistic those decoys look, next to the real thing!

If anything aga man , I would think on some days ( depending on the weather ) they would stand out more than the real thing .
