Pigeon Shredder.
Just been reading the review on the .45 Hatsan Hercules, only weighs in at 13 lb's without a scope and talk of dropping coyotes at 50 meters. Proper airifle this one, just need to update the gym membership before taking it out in the field.

Stonepark
225ftlbs - should be able to drop them a bit further than 50m.
GingerCat
Seems a lot of hard work for limited performance when they can pick a .223 ar platform up for probably less money. Edited October 26, 2017 by GingerCat
Stonepark
No brass, no powder, no primer, no big bang, just a cast bullet and some air. It does have its attractions....

Such as lots of weight, poor shot count, pants balistics, massive air bottle to lug about. I love air guns but theres limitations and better tools for the job. Not that having one wouldn't be entertaining. Edited October 26, 2017 by GingerCat

happyshooter
My .303 wolverine at 100 fpe and 50.15 grain pellets puts lots of smiles on my face knocks bunnies over like skittles out to 100 yds on a good day, only 12 shots though at full power. atb brian
bruno22rf
Most people simply buy a used mod 2 brno for a couple of hundred notes and pop of bunnies at 100 yards all day long - subs are cheap enough and do a great job. As for large bore Airguns in the UK-ordering mine as soon as I buy my Goldfish a Bicycle.

Ultrastu
Hah hah . Lol Has to be said the idea of airguns instead of powder burners is generally to reduce over penetration and hence be a safer shot .when an airgun slug becomes so heavy and solid it tends to punch through most quarry bringing u back up a .22 lr .penetration Personally i think this happens at .30 cal 50 grns and above . So for me the top need where an air gun still performs like an air gun is .25 cal and a pellet below 30 grns . (Round head ) obviously hollow points will help somewhat

I shoot x3 .22 lr and 17 hmr ,as stated on other posts the fac air is used on where rimfires cannot be used on my shoots lots of footpaths , roads etc, the .303 was i must admit bought for fun but boy it is fun!!!! atb brian
Ultrastu
But do you find it very similar to .22 lr .in terms of penetration .lack of expansion and ricochet tenancy .?
suburban shooter
Awaiting the answer with interest as questions I would have asked' Spoke to a .25 FX Impact user who said that the pellets don't go beyond 300m so better for his squirrel shooting than .22 rimfire as the 40 grain bullets go on for lot further distance. Ultrastu
Well chair gun calculates that a .25 cal 880 fps king goes 640 yds And a .22 lr sub goes about 1900 yds . Personally i don't shoot into trees with my . 25 fx .as thats too much energy too far . I can only imagine a 30 cal is much further carrying even more energy . Ultrastu
Unless he ment a sub 12 .25 and even the h+n ftt at 11 fpe goes 340 yds at optimum angle .
