Yellow Bear
Long shot I know but here is the problem. Being tall we require armchairs that are longer in the seat and taller than standard (which amounts, it seems, to about 350 mm from floor). However, although we can find "samples" on line, it is almost impossible to find shops where these can be viewed and tried. We have tried HSL, who do do tall chairs but seldom have more than 1 in stock to try, SCS, and DFS , both of whom look at you sideways when look for tall armchairs. We also looked at IKEA but no tall chairs. Does anyone know of any furniture shops in NE midlands that carry a reasonable range of armchairs. Munzy
Can’t offer a lot of help but I was in IKEA last week and they had a wingback chair and stool in there, very comfortable for me at 6’2”.

loriusgarrulus
If you look at shops that cater for the elderly as they do higher chairs for ease of getting in and out. Also riser recliners tend to be taller.
ShootingEgg
Try a company called repose, i used to deal with them. They make mobility chairs and static arm chairs and in all different heights and depth. We used to go to the customer to measure then get the chairs made up to fit.
