adzyvilla
Some strong money there. Nearly had the day off work to go along but decided against it. Stark contrast to last week's auction at downham market, some bargains there.
Jaymo
Was it me or were some of those prices a bit excessive. I went with the intention of bidding on the Thomas Bland ( even though it was sleeved) , but thought better of it as the price rose rather rapidly. Couldnt believe the money the Hatstand made- plus buyers premium and you were in silly money territory
Harnser
I thought the prices were to high . Never had a bid . The silver sable side lock was stupid money . I valued it at no more than £300 . harnser
marsh man
I had a look yesterday afternoon and there wasn't anything to tempt me filling my cabinet more than what it already is , at the last one I waited for the cartridges and they were making as much , if not more than you can get them for at the various gun shops. At the last sale I did put in a fold up shooting seat with a revolving seat , I bought it new of ebay for £27 and although a decent seat the weight of it was to heavy to lug about , anyhow it made £35 , time they took the commission off I was just about in pocket and the buyer had to pay buyers premium making it a dear old seat for him , that's how it is with auctions , you can easily get carried away. panoma1
That I assume is hammer price? If so add buyers premium and VAT on that, they certainly ain't cheap!?........And from the lots above, there was nothing on offer that would get me to part with any cash? Harnser
The hatsan breaker air rifle was mine . I bought it a year ago and never liked it and bought a decent springer off a member on here . I paid £95 for the hatsan breaker and sold it in the auction for £90 . When the buyer includes the commission on the sale he would have been able to buy a new one for less . Auction fever . Harnser
sjnolloth
Did you happen to see how much the Lyvale express cartridges went for?

I carnt remember , but I was interested in buying cartridges and never had a bid on any of them as I could have bought them cheaper at my local gun shop . I was talking to RFD and he said that he ought to put all his stock through the auction as he could make good money from uninformed punters . harnser

Jbob
Last auction I went to in Devon didnt have much I would spend my money on either. I was stood with a couple of lads who wanted to buy a slab or two of cartridges. I told them not to bother as they could have gone down the road to the local farm store or gun shop and paid less. I was right the bidding flew up and by the time commission had been added the cost of the cartridges was rather expensive. I like an auction but wont pay over the odds for tat, but then some people get carried away to easily at auction.
