Konnie
Looking at cross cut/mitre saw 240v budget £200, looking at dewalt 1300w with 216mm blade, or schappach 2000w with 254mm blade the second has bigger cut but odd size blade and trenching facility, For just a bit above diy grade work not trade though, fencing, log store etc. any advice from the wood butchers much appreciated. Can't trench with it but hey I can live with that. I got mine off eBay, new reconditioned For 160. The light guide thing is great too. grrclark
I have the forerunner to the Metabo saw linked by W&B, when they were still Elektra Beckum, and it has seen much service and is very accurate and reliable. I bought a couple of high quality Freud blades for my saw, slightly smaller outside diameter, (4mm less from memory) and they work just fine and dandy,
