mellors
Hi all. Got a lot of ferals to sort out round the farm barns. Have been having successful visits with accupell . 22 Was wondering if a 16 grain pellet would be better.
figgy
If Accupell are working why change things.

ditchman
you are just going to have to fiddle about with different pellets................i changed to a lighter pellet weight...went down to 14.5gr.....i was gobsmacked at the improvment in accuracy.. figgy
If Accupell are working accurate in your gun you have a choice of pellet type all the same weight, ok for rats with the verminpell then domed for pigeons.
Ultrastu
Has to be said a med weight .22 is a great pellet on ferels . I wouldnt go to a flat head .or a very heavy dome head . (18 grn plus ) There wont be anappreciable difference between 14.5 and 16 grns . Id just shoot the most accurate .

He is using accupel so about 14.3gn i use these as well, just be aware of punching through the pigeon and the roof if there indoors, if so i like bisley pest control, less likely to put holes where there not wanted. mellors
Thanks all. My set up sounds OK then. Have now run it through the chronograph at gun shop with 16gn it's showing a steady 570 which apparently equates to 11.5 ft lbs. So I'll stick the accupell. Ultrastu
You may find that the accupell produce quite a bit lower in energy compared to the 16 grn jsb . Around 10.8 . But that's not really a problem as its still morethan enougjh
