old'un
Should the car registration plates always identify what make/model the car it is?

You can also check MOT and tax status, MID ect, MOT history is pretty useful. Occasionally , there is inaccuracies, or number fails to go in, pretty rare though. old'un
The reason I ask is a friend of mine was a bit suspicious of a guy near him driving a silver Audi, when he checked on the DVLA website (I have also checked) it came back as a white Ford Fiesta, is this possible? 51 minutes ago, victorismyhero said: eh?...they never have????? victorismyhero
something wrong there...pass it to the cops could possibly be a cloned number, I had an issue last year with someone the other side of the country, somewhere i have never visited ....ever..... had an accident and failed to stop, ......I got a letter from northants police demanding all sorts......untill I informed them that 1) i had never been anywhere near the place and 2) have No intentions of doing so in any case.. 6 minutes ago, old'un said: The reason I ask is a friend of mine was a bit suspicious of a guy near him driving a silver Audi, when he checked on the DVLA website (I have also checked) it came back as a white Ford Fiesta, is this possible? Rewulf
Could be cloned. Could be input error or private plate swap undergoing transfer.
norfolk dumpling
A few years back when my employer, a big insurance company, was loading up the data which is now ANPR we discovered a very high error rate with DVLA data so don't assume cloned plate etc until it's been checked out.
