steve_b_wales
Has anyone fitted the above to their rifle? I'm thinking of buying one to fit to my Tikka T3. It looks straight forward to fitting one.
Newbie to this
Just watched a video on YouTube, looks easy enough. https://youtu.be/G8Bdpd8CkBU
Gordon R
They seem to be far easier to fit and less prone to disaster than the traditional adjustable comb.

As above. I'd like to know what the quality is like.
wyn
I recently fitted one to my Tikka t3x. It's nice quality the mechanism was all aluminium and the cheek piece a similar plastic to the stock. When it's lowered it fits nicely over the stock with no gaps. It took about 10 minutes to fit. The t3x has a foam insert in the stock that i had to chop about a bit to make room.

I think it was from "livens" i went for them as they were showing it in stock at the time. I'm sure there were five or more places in the uk selling them. wyn
I'm pretty sure these are what are fitted to the adjustable stock Tikka's. I have mine adjusted high'ish for a 2" scope height but this then lets me take the bolt out under the cheek piece without having to move it down. I want to fit one so that I have a better eye contact with my Pulsar N750a NV scope.
steve_b_wales
I've just ordered one for my Tikka T3 from Livens.co.uk @ £145 delivered. They appear to be the cheapest.
bumpy22
Not sounding rude is it not as cheap to buy a second-hand adjustable varmint stock?
Graham M
Or you could buy some of this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-mm-KYDEX-T-Sheet-A4-A3-A2-SIZE-Sheath-Holster-Olive-Green-Black-Brown-White-/121514772562?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10&var=420451470197 And make one of these. Obviously you would want to stiffen up the inside of the stock with something; P40 etc, but at a fration of the cost.

Whilst it's okay, I prefer the Kalix Teknik kit.
Graham M
This isn't like the Bear tooth, it is an adjustable comb like this

It does the job no doubt, but I liked the look and quality of the Kalix.
Graham M
No problem, just another insight. I'm thinking of installing one on my T3, but I have the Hunter with the wooden stock, so a bit bigger job. Seen one of these on the bay
steve_b_wales
UPDATE: I received the kit this afternoon and set out fitting it to my Tikka T3. All was going well, but I drilled the two top holes where the rod's slide down, slightly off centre, so had to open them up a bit to allow them to fit properly. I haven't got a pillar drill, which would have made it a lot easier. I'm pleased with the result though.
