Flat Pack computer desk

I'm a man on the edge!!!!!

Never have I faced such a frustrating challenge as this.

I have walked away so many times as the red mist descended and I reached for something large blunt and heavy to reduce this pile of laminated chip board to dust.

The instructions if you can call them that, I believe belong to something similar but certainly not what was in the box.

Talk about obscure and pure guess work. Nothing married up no matter what way round you tried it. The drawer runners? don't get me started on them. Ended up making me own as these flimsy bits of tin they supplied did not match the pre drilled holes and have to be put in opposite to what it says in the "instructions" but even then they still didn't work.

Eventually after numerous temper tantrums, swearing, 300 roll ups and a bottle of JD...oh and a fair quantity of decking screws, it finely looks like it should...well sort of there are a few bits not where they should be as It didn't make sense to have them there. They probably served a purpose in the final construction, only time will tell.

What a nightmare never buying flat pack again and the review section on Amazon received a strongly worded paragraph or two toady.

Be very careful. A couple of years ago I bought a wheelchair for my wife, and after a few weeks it became apparent that the lightweight frame wasn't as strong as it should be. It wasn't dangerous, but you had to press the seat into position quite firmly so as to keep the whole thing stable. It was made in china of course and when I wrote a poor review of it Amazon sent me a stinking email notifying me that my review had been removed and if I gave another negative feedback/review then they would remove my permission to give any future feedback.

You should have gone to Ikea :P
