Did anyone else take part in DGR on Sunday 29th September? I took part in the Solent (Hampshire) ride and it was awesome. 250-ish bikers (and passengers) dressed in their finery thundering through the countryside and then through Southampton and the New Forest. It was a really great day and all for a good cause. There were plenty of other rides all around the UK (and the world) - just wondered if there were any other rider here who took part?

I was lucky enough to see the chaps in their suits, tweeds, kilts and more, ride through Gosforth on the great north road north bound! The whole thing assaulted the senses. Bikes from the 1920s up to the present, sports, trials, scooters, monkey bikes, vintage, choppers and more! The sound was awesome, as was the smell in the air. Rode right past my place of work!!

awesome

Yes the smell and sight was something else! I was on my Triumph (2007 model) but a guy I was chatting to was on another Triumph that looked like it was from the 1930s or something. It even had an umbrella holder on it!
