I have a dislike of eating intensively farmed chicken that from egg to table, with the aid of antibiotics and steroids is something like 16 weeks. I think the Americans do allow such practices though. I had a steak over there once - it was very unlike anything over ever had - looked it up and apparently they are mechanically tenderised.
