Lancs Lad
Yeh.... The accelerator is the pedal on the right. The clutch is on the left And the brake is in the middle................
digger
Guess thats me declining a lift on a bike from lancs lad ! Best advice is be smooth on the clutch and maintain a steady speed, its cbt not a test so you will fly through. When you do your full test the more you check your blind spots the better Edited to add, lancs lad do you know what CBT means ?

steverimfire
the hardest part of a motorcycle test is u turns so practice practice practice, the rest is observation and plenty of it
Lord Geordie
Best advise is LISTEN WELL to your instructor and don't underestimate his input. I have never heard anybody failing a CBT it's just a basic safety course to try and give you an idea of how to not only use a Bike but how to stay safe on the roads! Most of the CBT is common sense but you would be supprised how many people don't have such a thing! Just take everything onboard he tells you and put it to good use. It's intended to give you the basic skills to keep you alive on the roads! Just enjoy yourself! Are you going DAS afterward or is this just for a Scooter? Vulcha
Don't fall off.
malkiserow
I never did a CBT as I am too old and got my bike licence in 79. But somethings still stand .... listen carefully as they want to help you pass..... be confident with your learning so far....... picture yourself riding well and safe. good luck and have fun
Vtchobits
Passed. The instructor said that i have to work on my road positioning (I tend to be a bit too left off centre) but other than that its all good. Later.
coupe312
did mine last monday after threating to do it for years. loved it great fun. and out of 5 of us taking it 3 failled. The instructor said i his eyes they were not safe enough to let them out on the road. its all down to clutch control and observations
Pedro
The instructor was spot on about position. If you sit near the kerb it only encourages cars to overtake. You pay tax for using the road, so use it - be big in their vision. Learn something every time you go for a ride, (I still do and I've been doing it for over 23yrs). Buy something sensible before you get your sportsbike - you're bound to come off. Enjoy BTW well done for passing P.
al4x
ah so they actually teach underpowered scooter riders how to irritate car drivers
dr3w1986
Reminds me, I need to re-do my CBT. Can't bloody find my one anymore, and I'm pretty sure you need to present it when going for the proper test (although maybe I'm wrong ). And with regards to Pedro's comment about falling off, hell yeah! In the 4 years I had my scooter I fell off 4 or 5 times, although in my defence the weather conditions were horrible and those tyres weren't the grip-iest. Since the start of this year I've had my nice shiny little 125 bike (I have a car licence so can ride with L plates) and no accidents as of yet. Anyway, well done for passing
