fatchap
I was out missing some squirrels today with the Air Rifle when I'm approached by someone I haven't seen for about 8 years. He said I thought it was you apparently he's been trying to contact me for a while now about his knife. He owns the very first Stickleback I made. 8 years ago he bought it from me, Its been for quite a few swims in those years where he has dropped it in the lake or river, Lost it twice obviously found it again. He wants it refurbed ie polished up etc. It dont look too bad really needs sharpening and 8 years of fish guts taken off the blade, the point needs putting back and the handle could do with a clean but its still tight. Takes me back to when I made that curly birch handle and the blade/tang was cut from a circular saw blade. I use Stainless now. He's looked after it as there is no rust on the blade and the liners have held up well too. Quite impressed. Newbie to this
Must be nice to hear that he cherishes your workmanship so much, that he has sought you out to give it a refurb. Says a lot
