Down South
Quick tour of the shoot this afternoon, 9 very advanced ducklings on the pond, nearly as big as mother, a small covey of partridge chicks following parent across some open ground, great. Got home, sitting in the back garden enjoying a cold drink when 2 Spitfires and I think an me109 did a low circuit over my end of town, no hostility. Beat that! Nice one..........can't beat that, but the red arrows flew low over Gloucester on Sunday last, after appearing at the Weston air show, they are always worth seeing, 8 were in a ' V' formation with one flying separately to their LH side. Down South
I often see a Spitfire overhead, I think it’s taking paying passengers for a spin. I’ve seen trips advertised, £2700 or there abouts.
TIGHTCHOKE
They fly out of Goodwood, owned by the Boultbee Academy!
Down South
Thought it had to be close by. Seen a Hurricane with it a few times this year. Probably a D day thing.
clakk
Get to see a blue painted Spitfire during the summer here of an evening and if your the right way on theres a B17 mooches about ,sometimes quite low down too. The rest of the time the summer has a selection of A10,s Herci birds and various military comings n goings from the local Training barracks so not a bad area if you like such stuff

TIGHTCHOKE
They tend to go where the money is, both companies will spend large parts of the summer working out of Duxford to be central in the country. http://www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInbDlke-G4wIVR4XVCh38ugXZEAAYASAAEgLFwfD_BwE https://flyaspitfire.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvPvDpO-G4wIVpjXTCh0iUAoREAAYASAAEgL98vD_BwE
Townie
As a 10-year old, I lived near where the Battle of Britain was filmed in 1968. I spent a fair amount of time in the garden watching the aerial scenes being filmed. Magical for a boy of that age, but probably less so for my parents.
