craig1982
With the fields combined and ploughed, and the nights drawing in. Is anybody starting to see rats around barns and sheds yet ? I've had a look round but not seeing much activity yet. Might get more activity next week when a couple of frosts are forecast
GingerCat
Noticed some fresh rat holes round the chicken run last week. Loaded 3 bait stations and it was all gone in 2 days. Reloaded then and it's not been touched since. Worth keeping on top of. Summer months I'll sit out with the pcp and plonk a few but I'd have to take a canoe at the minute. B725
We hardly ever see them until it turns cold, as it was mild last winter we hardly saw any.
Walker570
I am seeing more this year than ever visiting my baiting sites....that is squirrel baiting. I think like tree rats the smooth tailed variety have also had a good breeding season.

craig1982
Now the pheasants are out in the fields, had a drive round my favourite "ratting" areas. Lots of new rat holes, loads of grain around the feeders. Looks like it's going to be a good winter for the R10 fac.

Last session on the refuse site two of us bagged 372 rats in 2 1/2 hrs, so yes they are about
