lurcherboy
I was walking the dogs along the beach at swalecliffe tonight and saw the lightning up along the Medway. It looked impressive and it's a shame it never made its way down to here. LB
Cranfield
Nice photograph, there seems to be a lot of forked lightning about this year. I think it may have got as far as Ashford, it certainly looked black over that way and we could hear distant rumbles of thunder. Apart from 15 drops of rain that fell between 4 and 4.15pm, it remained dry here.
ShaggyRS6
Its still lightning now in the distance. I had never seen rain like it. The storm was also intence, although not all that big. It just hung over Rainham and rotated for about 2 hours slowly moving south west. Radar shows it now in Maidtone/Tonbridge

Stu S
We had some storms down here a while ago, july i think, and they were pretty severe, so i decided to get a picture of the lightning, here is the result! No significant photoshop editing used with this, only just to darken the background as the lightning was so close the camera struggled! Dunkield
Great pictures. We were out walking the mutt last night and I could lightning and heavy rain coming our way, so we walked home double quick time. Got home dry but knackered, and it never did come our way :(
pin
Great pics! SS and I were out after a few scuts and mr fox last night, rolled into first field, heavens open. Huge filthy black cloud, then it really starts coming down, and the wind picks up. Back to mine as I have all the windows wide open :( then out again, watching the storm from a distance we must have seen about 50 lightning strikes, very productive.
