Walker570
Did such recently and Leicestershire took three weeks. Totally unacceptable in my view. I questioned the delay and the lady in the office who I know is always trying to do her best said she has to deal with each enquiry as it comes in. Sounded to me like she was the only one doing anything. Held an FAC for well over 40yrs and it was a simple calibre for calibre exchange. You will need to send the variation form off to the police and wait for the variation to be processed before picking up the new gun.

Newbie to this
Just now, Jay_Russell said: yeah of course, but it says to dispose of gun first before i apply for the vairation. i cant go to weeks with out my rifle. Unfortunately, that is how it works. Unless you put in for a normal variation and not a 1 for 1, and sell the other rifle after the variation is processed and you have bought the new one. Obviously this would cost for the variation.
Terry2016
you can apply for a slot for a new gun, go and collect and trade in your old, then inform of your new rifle and that you have got rid of your old one.
