I've eaten rooks...branchers...and would eat them again at the drop of a hat. In a pie with fat back bacon to give gelatine and "body" to the pie. So young brancher rooks in a pie yes. Delicious hot and "to die for" cold. But carrion crow? Never, never, never. Rooks eat carrion and I've seen them grub about in pig ****. You can bet they bring some pretty horrible stuff back to the branchers.

True to a point, they do go for seeds of any kind as well, the problem I see here is people with sgc calling rooks crows (then you wonder where the antis get there ammo)
7daysinaweek
Had a crow omelette once, my friend cut the breast up into really small chunks, fried it and added the egg with some chilli flakes if I recall, It was very agreeable! He also cooked me a moorhen omelette which also tasty. atb 7diaw

Sadly if there is one thing that the first WJ challenge of the General licence taught me it is the total ignorance of a staggering percentage of the shooting community with regards to fundamentals such as the law, and quarry identification. Don't get me wrong I'm a very firm believer in 'if you don't know, ask', but some of the questions that were posted around the time of the GL fiasco I found concerning to say the least.
