fatchap
Ahhh the shower scene brings back pre- marriage memories. One from the 80's that was awful on a biblical scale, done by George Lucas of all people, Howard The Duck what a classic and is Marvel studios first ever feature film, no wonder they don't mention it. If its like all the other reboots Total Recal, Robocop, Blade Runner, its going to be worse than the original. If thats possible

If thats possible I thought the remake of Total Recall was an improvement, primarily because of Arnies inability to act when asked to play a role in which his facial expressions have to change. Blade Runner was a sequel rather than a remake, but agreeably not any better for that. The Sly remake of Get Carter was truly abysmal! 🙂

I didn’t mind The Italian Job, but still not a patch on the original in my opinion. No doubt a younger generation may disagree.
fatchap
They keep talking about a remake or reboot of Jaws I think they should leave it alone, Using CGI they could probably make a realistic looking shark now but that was what made Jaws the original good, the fact that the shark was just so unrealistic. And I very much doubt they could recreate the comradeship and chemistry between Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss And Robert Shaw.

Thankfully I believe the idea has been shelved. 2 minutes ago, fatchap said: They keep talking about a remake or reboot of Jaws I think they should leave it alone, Using CGI they could probably make a realistic looking shark now but that was what made Jaws the original good, the fact that the shark was just so unrealistic. Apparently Shaw wasn't too keen on his younger co-star. They just need to leave the classics alone and try making something original. fatchap
Yeah apparently there was a lot of ill feeling on the set, Scheider didn't get on with Speilberg either. I meant the comradeship on the boat. It was good how they acted it all out.

It was good how they acted it all out. That scene, the Indianopolis speech was written by Shaw. IIRC Shaw first did the scene drunk, made a complete hash of it then came back the following day, apologised and then gave that amazing performance. One of my favourite scenes in one of my favourite movies. Simply outstanding.
fatchap
Totally agree, one of the best scenes in the film. The best has to be "Your gonna need a bigger boat" Now Jaws 2 not bad but you see the shark too early, but as you have probably seen Jaws then you know its a shark and what it looks like. Jaws 3 IN 3D now that was.....bad but not as bad as Jaws the revenge, you could see Micheal Caine thinking through how he was going to sack his agent for getting him involved in this steaming pile of ****. And since when can sharks growl and scream in pain?
fatchap
Watched a film last night and I have to say in my opinion its straight in to my top 5 brilliant films. Its called The Boat, only stars one bloke who I have never heard of, but its brilliant, huge didn't see that coming twist at the end. Danger-Mouse
I watched "Underwater" last night. A surprisingly enjoyable disaster/horror movie.
