Busy Vixen

I have shot hundreds of foxes over the years but...

Out two nights ago and observed a big white blob in the thermal spotter.   Thought it was a deer lying down.

Looked at it through the IR scope and it turned out to be a vixen feeding six or seven very young cubs.

No I didn't pull the trigger.

Somethings are just not right.

They'll still be there next time or the time after that.

I've done the same, many times. It's not all about killing them everytime you see them.

I know a head keeper on a big estate who shot a similar vixen then went to finish the cubs but couldn’t, ended up tearing them in a rabbit hutch and giving them to people as pets! 🙈

This is the fox cub in their living room. Mad 🙈

Yes we all succumb to our emotions a bit especially as we advance in years, but I’d draw the line at living with Basil Brush.😂
