oowee
Out on the birds today and had a pretty good day with 63 shot and 54 picked. Picking up the empties I noticed this shell. It looks like the powder has continued to burn inside the case. 20g 30g no5 gammebore magnasonic.

Walker570
Happens quite often in 410s. I had some RC and Eley which did it and occasionally my reloads will also burn around the edges. Some of the RC's almost a third of the case vanished.

lancer425
See it in slower low velocity or sometimes with very light loads with too slow a powder type, and low pressure loads causing scooting and burning case mouths. Hotter primer can solve the problem but not in every powder type.
