White Tailed Eagles and the Isle of Wight

Recommended Posts

Has anyone read the feasibility study for the return of WTE's to the Isle of Wight? I've just started to go through it. Talk about a trojan horse! this is a committed plan to return them to the whole of the UK! I bet there are plenty of farmers out there who don't know this, weren't consulted but will no doubt have to pay for the consequences...

Thought they had already done it last year

It's a rolling thing. The licence grants up to 60 juveniles to be released over a five year period. The first six were released last year

I said at the time of this being considered that I bet that those involved in releasing the birds wouldn't cover the costs involved in lost livestock from their own pockets. That will still be the case.
