Any one using these on the pigeons ? My mate was using them today and went a treat in the old Spanish side by side and he shot well too

Have in the past, but they are brutal in a light gun for pest control when firing a lot of shots 1410fps. and 71/2 decoying = a lot of shot in the birds. Clay cartridge.

Just Carts have Classic pigeon on offer  - 12g fibre wad 6, still too HV for my liking and 30 g. Made by Gamebore, basically a Velocity with heavier load and 1400fps.

Regal Game 5's @ 28g and 1350 fps fibre is a fantastic 20g cartridge and the birds don't end up like colanders, no pillowcases and good for days when birds are holding off.

Often just use in the choke barrel.

I never considered the amount of shot in the bird. I noticed he pulled off some good range shots and birds dead as.
He said there was no kick and its a light gun

Yep, I use Gamebore velocity, fibre 30g 6s, not a bad cartridge on pigeons or blacks, I also use a lot of English Sporter, fibre 28g 7.5s and they also kill well.

It means 2 or 3 more pellets in each bird at same choke or same number of pellets at 2 points less choke as against 30g or 32g no 6.

It also means better kills and less wounded birds within normal ranges.

The first cartridge I used through my light Spanish gun and the recoil was alarming to say the least. In fact so much I was tempted to sell the gun until I discovered Hull 21g cartridges
