Mrs Sweepy
well, well, well, guess what i just found lurking in one of mr sweepys drawers. a country clothing catalogue . wow i did not know that us lady beaters had so much choice in what to wear out in the field . mr sweepy kept that to himself . this is going to be so much fun choosing something to wear for are little shoot .and after what i had to wear last year (sweepys cast offs ) it be nice to wear something a bit more feminine. after all i am of the fairer sex . now the big decision is what shell mr sweepy treat me to . is there a dress code to what lady beaters should and should not wear when out beating .the look i am going for is the yes i am wet tired cold and muddy .o and my kness are about to give way under the weight of these shotguns that i had to carry for the last two miles .but o look how the brace of pheasants i have in my spare hand compliment the rest of my outfit .at the end of this season i want everyone who goes on one of shoots to say well she may have spent most of the time running around after a uncontrollable clumber spaniel . but you just could not fault her dress sense and style . xxxx suzy now were did sweepy put hes credit card
new to the flock
Suzy, I think the best course of acttion is to order one of everything you like. After all we dont want people commenting that you only have one beater outfit. And dont forget the shooting attire aswell, as there is a rumour around that you will have your own peg aswell this year. Oh and dont forget you and Sammy are to make your trialing debut this fall aswell. That I am sure requires its own outfit NTTF

beatingisbest
Thats a good one BSA Shaun, i feel that guns will be missing more, and other beaters walking into trees after being distracted. I wonder how many sexual harrasment jokes will be made during lunch.
Cranfield
Not wishing to derail the thread, but we had a beater the season before last that came so covered up with a barbour, a hat , neckerchief, gloves , leggings and boots , that it was only at the end of the season dinner that I realised it was a woman. Mrs Sweepy
dear mr BSA shaun now if pheasant shooting was in the summer i would say yes .but as its not its a no. mind you wearing that i would not have to beat to hard . the birds would take one look and be gone. only problem would be in the woods on the shoot it very thick with brambles . so i would most probs come out the overside cover in cuts or worse minus my dignity . now no one on a peg should be witness to that sight . we are trying to keep people intested in the sport not scare them off xxx suzy
BSA Shaun
How about this for a 'chav' drive
malkiserow
Perhaps:  Mrs Sweepy, dressed like this you will not have to carry any shotguns/pheasants etc. No brambles will cross your path as you will find RealTree cloaks laid before you ... you may even escape the need for wellies. However, normal beating days will be gone and you will surely get bored with too much attention. Maybe just buy one of everything from the catalogue......
