JDog
This week there has been a Lammergeier in Lincolnshire until the Twitchers frightened it away. I have just seen my first Redwings of the winter. A Lesser Yellow Legs is in residence at Alkborough Flats. Yesterday I watched a flock of several hundred Lesser Redpolls feeding on rape stubble. It was quite a sight until a female Sparrow Hawk swooped in and took one.

LeedsZeppelin
This week there has been a Hoopoe spotted in the next village down from me. Sadly, I haven't managed to see it for myself even after spending a few hours looking for it.
AVB
There were reports of a Tinkling Cisticola being spotted near me. Turned out it was a Fluffy-backed Tit-Babbler although some thought it was a Spangled Drongo.
Rob85
A river local to me has pine martens around it, was very lucky to get to see one when I was fishing once, one evening in the local news there was some group asking the public to report their sightings of them and where they were spotted..... Not while my hoop looks down! The second someone let's slip about them or the kingfishers then there will be an army of do gooders and twitchers down trying to catch a glimpse or "improve the habitat" for them!
