EU backtracks on vaccine export controls for Northern Ireland

The EU has reversed its decision to temporarily override part of the Brexit deal amid an ongoing row over Covid vaccine supplies in the bloc. The move would have seen checks at the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland to prevent shipments entering the UK. It come as the EU confirmed that countries in the bloc can stop the export of vaccines if the company making them has not honoured existing contracts with the EU.

Above taken from BBC news: it appears someone from the U.K. (Johnson?) has had a word after the EU tantrum and they have backed down regarding this threat...

But haven’t dropped the threat that they can stop the vaccine leaving ... 🤷‍♂️

But we now have Tedros whatever his name is with the very healthy bank balance from Chinese bribes (why else would he have been so protective of China when they unleashed wuflu into the world and caused >2M deaths?) saying we should pause our vaccine roll out and hand out our doses to other countries.

helping other nations is something we should do, but only once the UK population has been vaccinated.

Yep - he’s put more effort into defending China, concerned that the use of “Chinese virus” isn’t politically correct, yet now with have the term “English / Kent strain” being used because we identified something through doing more monitoring than anyone else.
