strimmer_13
Any recommendations for a sub £100 bluetooth speaker. Its got to have 1. A battery with life longer than 6 hrs 2. Decent bass and a minimum of 10w output 3. Bluetooth v5 so could possibly pair later in the future for full stereo sound unless 2 speakers are under budget. 4. A little bit rough and ready as it's used for work and play. I'm lone working in a warehouse atm, and my kitsound hive which is 7years old is starting to poo its pants. I don't want anything plugged in as I use it everywhere. Thanks 👍
JTaylor91
JBL do a decent range around that price. If you can stretch a bit have a look at beoplay A1, I have one and it’s pretty solid it’s been dropped off the table a fair few times but keeps going, loud and the battery lasts a long time. Andy 01
Just outside your stated budget, but I bought one of these last year for garden use in lockdown, and the sound quality is stunning !https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5980606?clickSR=slp:term:bluetooth speaker:13:19:2 Andy

My mate has a soundlink3, he bought it before going on tour, and we've abused it for years after. The sound quality is amazing, but they've always been outside my budget. I asked him last night if he still was using it, he is, but the battery has died and needs plugging in all the time. Tbf it's got to be 6 years old, and he abuses it. I can push the budget a little so this is on the cards, I don't mind paying if it lasts. Good suggestions so far thanks ppl👍
Andy 01
I've had it for about 9 months, so I'm unable to comment on long term durability of the battery, but during normal usage, afternoon into evening/midnight, I've not been able to flatten the battery fully yet during usage 🙂

strimmer_13
Hinted that. He wouldn't sell anyway, think it was 300 new when he bought it. Worth it tho, puts most hifi systems to shame.

strimmer_13
Well after 3 hours of reviews on a million different sites I've opted for a jbl charge 4. It really was a fight between ultimate ears megaboom - bose soundlink colour 2- and the jbl. I chose the jbl as its got brilliant reviews, even beating the others. I had my heart on a bose, but this was also the cheapest. Just hope I get 5 years out of it. Bonus 600 nectar points as well 😅 Thanks again 👍
