Need to find a decent red label first!

The only one I’ve ever seen was a 20 bore in Lakeland Guns. It was a lovely bit of kit and I was sorely tempted.
Someone told me that they don’t eject UK cartridges too well, how true that is I have no idea.

One came up for sale 30 miles away but it turned out woodwork cracked and was past repair, to say I was disappointed is an understatement

I think that unless you’re hugely into Ruger ownership there’s not a lot to be gained, for me anyhow.
I have experience of the GP 100 and the Super Blackhawk and Bisley models, but the only Ruger I’ve ever owned was their M77 in .22 MRF. An excellent little rifle admittedly, but as we’re not allowed any of their handguns in the UK, it would have little value for me.

I too had a Ruger super Blackhawk, it is sadly missed. I now have a Ruger stainless black powder pistol. I also have 2 Ruger rifles, both stainless, a 308 varmint and a 22WMR, both are very accurate.

Just reading your post, noticed mine says MRF for some reason, it should read WMR, as yours does.
They do make good gear, it has to be said, although I think the Redhawk and GP 100 are just plain ugly! 🙂

The Ruger red labele9fe550ba3c0c201d69e3bc0a455b623_XL.jpg and gold label will always be the most beautiful shotguns ever made.

They are a good looking shotgun for the fact that they are plain with the majority of them have no engraving on them. I have yet to get the version above

although have the synthetic version of above, the All Weather and Target Grey.

Yes, the simple receiver is what I like.  The gold label was a SxS with the same plain receiver.  My friend has a gold label with the straight English stock.  I have been trying to talk him out of it for years. Ruger-Gold-Label-SxS-in-minty-condition-
