Bobba
Thought I’d post this in the craft section for interest to the knife makers. our son in Singapore sourced it on line for my B’day as he cannot pop over due to COVID. Well, he could leave but getting back? That would be difficult Butchering meat at the weekend was a dream. My questio is how do I maintain 20 degree sharpening angle on a whetstone. Is there a gadget somewhere. Thanks Edited October 4, 2021 by Bobba
JTaylor91
You could get a lansky sharpening kit. That lets you set the degree angle. Nice knife. Edited October 4, 2021 by JTaylor91
TIGHTCHOKE
As above, a Lansky and learning how to use it on an ordinary blade would be my suggestion.
paulinlincs
Lansky Croc stick. The one in a wooden box or a spyderco trisharp. Both have 20 degree angle and are honestly fool proof as I can use them.

If the blade is really worn (wife chopping on the worktop or rubbing it against I brick I reckon sometimes) I will give it a bit of love on a 1000 grit wetstone and the then finish on the ceramic rods on the lansky before stroping on the back of my jeans or bit of leather if I can be bothered to get it out. Saves time. If its not worn then a few strokes on the turn box has it back in shape in no time.
