DUNKS
Hi folks. I am about to put my lovely T Wild hammergun up for sale. Problem is I am not sure about the proof marks so dont want to be wrong in description. I have only ever shot black powder with it so not bothered much. Advice please. Is it black powder only or Nitro. Thanks.
London Best
Black, as it does not include the words, ‘Nitro Proof’ or the letters, ‘NP’.

Walker570
Yep as above. Birmingham Proof House used to do some super booklets of all the British proof markings and some foriegn. I lent mine to someone and never got it back.

They go for silly money now compared to the original price.
enfieldspares
Yes, but, no, but yes. OK it may be onluy blackpowder proof but at the same time if it is in proof then it can of course be sold quite normally. I'd add that if a buyer comes and tyre kicks and ask for you to have it sent for nitro proof or (God forbid) steel proof I'd respectfully suggest that maybe it's not the gun for them. Thanks for that but it will be sold as black powder only. although I feel sure there would be no problem having it Nitro proofed. Barrels are excellent with 70mm chambers.
