Only £10 but unless I missed it before this is a new addition.I don’t remember seeing a notification that they were going to start doing it ,…again unless I missed it .

A lot of the purchases I make from them are only viable if I pick them up myself the nearer the valuation sight the better .

Just checked the terms and conditions ,and yes they do state a nominal fee of £10 to collect from valuation days ,not unreasonable I suppose ,

just feeling a bit grumpy as just about to visit dentist for an extraction……

I have always thought Auctioneers take too much from sellers and buyers, with the Vat included it can become almost half the items value. If I put. gun into a sale and it fetches £500,the buyer pays £600 including a buyers premium,I get about £400 probably clear. So in a minute of the sale, the auction makes over £150,and the government gets some Vat.

Thats how they become a rich profitable business I guess!

That's just stupid.  They've got to come out anyway.   Any fee puts the price up on top of the existing fees. I know that fuel has increased but it's like charging customers a fee to have lights on in the auction room. Or a paper charge for the invoice.  It is difficult to sell guns now without whopping more expense on top. You only have to look at guns sales on here.

i will neither buy or sell through auctions due to the excessive charges by greedy auctioneers.we have one not far from me who charges 30% both buyers and sellers fee plus vat.if people stopped using these they would soon come back to earth.there are no good deals to be had at auctions now unless you are the auctioneer.

Is this £10 fee real.?  Has anyone actually been charged this fee.  A friend who  buy from bolts told me that he hasn't been charged.  He says that there has been mention of this before but they've never actuallycharged it.
