Hi gang.

I've noticed when charging my HP chromebook it gets very warm on the base of it. This has only just started happening.

While using it normally its cool underneath.  Any thoughts why it does this ?.

                                                                                                                 Thanks all.

Does it run hot when using, I have a similar issue with one of my laptops that uses the Intel iRis i5 processor. Hot when charging and often when using the fan seems to run a full pelt and gets very hot.

My other laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 / Radeon processor runs cool all the time and is much smoother in operation.

Both are Chromebooks

Which one is this, and would you recommend it?

We had a chrombook, it was great for leaving in the kitchen for general web research, but it was dropped and died.

I'd like to replace it.

It's an HP Envy 360 13.3" and it has been very reliable and easy to use.

Bought it nearly 3 years ago so I'd image it has been updated since then but the AMD Ryzen chip set works very well with it.  I can only assume that a newer version will be good as well
