Used to work with a guy, who was a part time fireman. He used to come out with some unbelievable stories, one being how the water pressure on a hose he was using was so powerful that it lifted him off his feet and he was in mid air. But everyone knew him and went along with him to humour him. Anyway, this same " fireman reserve ", one day tried to gas and air weld a car petrol tank, after he survived the  explosion, he looked like a cartoon character. Luckily he was in a welding bay on his own.

There are some maniacs out there and he is one of them.  On a hunting trip to Texas we stayed at a ranch and one lunch time the guides said to come out and they would show us some fun.  They had some tanerite and a animals body we had shot that morning. They put said body over the tin of tannerite and then invited one of us to shoot the tannerite with a 243Win. Which he did. Blew the carcase to bits and they were leaping and hollering like idiiots wherehas we just stood there unmoved.  They are about, hopefully not in the UK.

That reminds me of putting on Pantos at the Police Social Club for local kids and OAPs.... they would scream the house down....the enormous spider I made from a pair of fluffy fur gloves belonging to my wife was the best.  On a lenghth of fishing line up through the lights into the wings where someone wound it in and dropped it down via a fishing reel.
