ditchman Posted October 12, 2022 Report Share Posted October 12, 2022 been watching what you guys cook.........lovely stuff all good english/british fayre...love them pies and pasties...... i cook for myself 3 days a week...the rest of the time i eat out of a tin or micro stuff...................me ole mum used to do a nice dish for me (a real filler) when i was working it was a dry macaroni and cauliflower cheese with a couple of thick strips of belly pork with a bit of gravy..........icouldnt eat that much now ..it would kill me...but i do the macca/cauli thing like today with a big spoonful of redcurrant jelly........all topped off with crunchy bread crumbs........ Gameking Posted October 13, 2022 Report Share Posted October 13, 2022 Rosemary and Thyme added to the suet but sometimes we also put in Parsley or whatever is fresh and you fancy. When I'm fed up with it I chop into cubes and add to a mac and cheese. I prepare 2 or 3 and freeze the ones I won't be eating straight away. Fantastic simple food, a real comfort dish so to speak.
