Daveo26
Can any of the wise people in here shed some light on this please? what’s the crack with the Citori ? I’ve got one on loan for the weekend from my local gun shop to see if I want to buy it. it’s got the MT date code, so a 2006 vintage? showing fleur de lyes proof marks so that would put it at the same age as some 525s. was it officially imported to the uk? Did it run along side the 525? my understanding was, the Citori was the American variant of the browning range, maybe a cheaper version but this one feels and looks like any grade 1 Browning, can’t see and how this is a budget gun compared to a 525 ? thanks Dave
222mark
The Citori predates the 325 in the UK. All japanese Brownings are called Citoris in America for some unknown reason. It certainley wasn't a cheaper variant.
Scully
Have never owned one but always rated a mates. Good quality bit of kit. I certainly wouldn’t feel undergunned or at the ‘poor’ end of the scale with a Citori. 🙂
Westward
BEM have always imported a few non x25 series that were simply badged Citori. It's the exact same action as the contemporary 525s and every bit as good as any other gd 1 Browning Citori variant.
Centrepin
MT is 2005. Nice guns.
Gunman
Its a Miroku sold under the Browning name . Citori was simply a model name in the UK . If you like it , you can shoot it and the price is right then buy it .Nothing more to said as its not worth worrying about anything else . Daveo26
Yeah it’s a nice gun, shot it today shoots as expected really, typical browning 😀 My mate liked it more than I did so he’s having it.
Daveo26
Ok here’s a thing this 2005 gun has got invector chokes not invector + that seems weird old style chokes in a fairly modern steel proofed gun
Gordon R
They were fitting invector chokes long after 2005.
