humperdingle
I have half a tin of Evo-Stik Impact adhesive and the contents are somewhat gloopy, so i’d like to try thinning it, so it’s useable again. I’ve searched a bit online and the suitable thinners include petrol and acetone, amongst other liquids. Does anyone have direct experience with such a job? wisdom
I seem to recall that it's not too good in cold weather.Mines in the garage but if I bring it into the house for a couple of days it's fine.

That’s what I did today 👍 Not Evo-stik, though - Screwfix’s No Nonsense spray contact adhesive. Was half the price of Evo-stik and did the job nicely. When I looked at the tub of old glue I had, it was solid 😂 Edited February 20, 2023 by humperdingle

It was a horrible experience dude . 1 hour ago, humperdingle said: That’s what I did today 👍 Not Evo-stik, though - Screwfix’s No Nonsense spray contact adhesive. Tbh glued glue with that stuff and you don’t have to worry about drying times

Pushandpull
I think the solvent is ethyl ethanoate (ethyl acetate in older terminology), but scarcely worth the bother unless you have some to hand.
