old'un
not done any research yet as we have to go out, this morning I received the message below with some convincing links (not opened any yet) anyone throw any light on the links, real or scam? Hi, I just wanted to share something I had read. This is really interesting how these fraudsters operated and will make us aware. West Midlands Police and Law enforcement agencies across 17 countries this week took action to help bring down the Genesis Market which hosted approximately 80 million credentials and digital fingerprints stolen from over two million people. You can check whether your data has been compromised and accessed by criminals on Genesis Market by visiting: https://www.politie.nl/checkyourhack and inputting your email address. Some tips on protecting devices and online accounts can be accessed on the NCA (National Crime Agency) website: https://bit.ly/GenesisMarket. Read about what the fraudsters did and the police operation here: https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/news/we-join-international-operation-take-down-criminal-marketplace (Please copy and paste the website links into your browser or write on a piece of paper if you have doubt about clicking the links, to give reassurance.) It's good to know.
Bobba
No idea sorry. If you don’t recognise the sender then perhaps forward the email to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC details on line) and seek their views. They are interested in new scams (if this is one ) and taking them down.

Genghis
It's legit - links are safe. If this was sent via text message then they should really know better. A good portion of readers won't trust it.
