If so what ar your impressions

DT11 is a great gun, black edition has issues with finish and coatings on top lever causing further opening issues.
Personally I’d look for a gold edition and avoid the possible issues.
DT11 is also a tank of a gun so be prepared for that. Pre Covid guns also better built in my experience.

Thanks for the reply, can you expand on the coating and how it causes issues when it begins to wear please

The top lever has a Teflon coating on it which either wears of isn’t suitable for it’s intended application/use. Beretta remade the part mid 2022 but unsure of it ever made it to market as they discontinued the black edition. Mainly down to the above mentioned issues. Again all this comes from experience and from other DT11 black edition owners. Beretta stated that any finish issues would be repaired under warranty only once and only after being examined at GMK and the claim validated. And there’s the kicker, at that point the many excuses not to except the claim come out, eg lack of care, acceptable wear, acid fingers etc etc. The list is endless. As mentioned stick to gold edition or find a 2016-2018 sporter and you will have zero issues. After covid QC got very ropey indeed.

I’ve recently bought a used DT11 Gold Sporter and it’s awesome. The black versions were also known to be bit lighter in the barrels and whippy, not to mention reported issues with the carbon fibre ribs falling off etc..

I also have a DT11 Gold, and I *love* it. It's a great gun and I haven't seen any negative performance with it compared to some of the reported later issued DT11's.

Plenty of people have shot it and no-one has even mildly griped. I love it :) It's not a light gun, but for my body and shooting style it's good.

That’s great to hear, glad you like it.

To be honest it’s the second DT11 I’ve had…..the first, a standard adjustable, I bought new and couldn’t get on with it…felt heavy, and lumpy. I chopped it for a K80 SS, as that ha# always been my dream gun, but the reality of ownership and using it was very disappointing.

I spotted a mint used DT11 Gold (non adjustable) Sporter, picked it up and it felt completely different to both previous guns. It just fits and moves with me….it’s lovely. I assume it’s no different to standard DT11 apart from the gold inlay but it seems to be livelier somehow….but still heavy at 8lb 9oz.

I think I'm going to pass in the black edition, I shoot a Salvinelli Duke,30" I fitted an adjustable comb and it's superb, comes up lovely, weights 8lb6 and I practice mount it to be consistent, but for a reason I just can't explain I haven't gelled with it, it feels perfect but I just can't figure it out, I hate to go down the new gun option. My last gun if 10 yrs was a Perazzi MX8, but they are all different and mine was a sporter with a lowered trap grip stock. I have shot a DT11 and liked it, so I might have to do the brain reset with a new gun.

Very similar story to me, I had a 2015 DT11 sporter. Solid reliable thing but lifeless and a bit of a lump. Then went through 3 more 2022 versions EELL DT11, all beautiful and great to shoot but lost a year of shooting due to unbelievable reliability issues and awful customer support from GMK, they were kin hard work. All went back and refunded. This killed my comps and put my game back massively especially the mental side and confidence in kit. My main focus for my next gun became reliability and customer service and support. This is when I got the K80 and full Alan Rhone support and service. Don’t get me wrong it’s took me 6-7 months and thousands of shells to get to grips with it but my scores have now passed my best DT11 averages and I know there more to come. Trigger pulls are ridiculously good.
Main thing for me now is I’m confident in my gear which is a massive part of the game. Plus this thing is an absolute beauty as well!

wasn’t all plain sailing I shot probably 3-4 and some just felt wrong. I ended up with a Parcours stock on a K80SS and this simply worked perfect for me  the sporter stock wasn’t right at all  glad I persisted though as I nearly moved on

I take nothing away from the pre covid built era of DT11’s. But I wanted a new DT at the time, all of which had serious QC issues, speaking with other owners having DT11’s from the same year of manufacturing the issues and QC problems were all very similar and resulted in endless returns and ultimately refunded. True story.

@TK421

Out of interest did you consider a Perazzi high tech? For k80 money you could have gone to the factory had a completely customizable gun made?

I did and it was certainly an option. But covid obviously created travelling issues which have then subsequently increased production times to circa 18 months last check. Having already lost a year I wasn’t prepared to push my game back even further so made the leap to the K gun. So far so good.

I think that's why I love mine, and part of it is just in my head I am sure. It has gold around the action release (literally written, as you know). Being made as the olympic game release, maybe it had a bit more attention, maybe it's just because the gold looks so much nicer than azure?

I have shot some demo DT11's from 2018, 19, and 20. This feels better, but maybe because it's mine?

I've read of your DT issues and it scared me a lot, but I am glad I persevered. I think if you get one that just works and has no issues then it's a winner, for me the gun fits my shape and size also which really helps. I know that doesn't include engineering issues that you had also, maybe I got lucky?

Pre covid guns have little to no issues. It was an option for me but wanted brand new. Great guns for sure mate
