Sweet11-87
i always strip and clean a new gun or a gun thats new to me. 1. get rid of any storage grease if new/ old gunk and crud if 2nd hand never know how its been looked after if at all 2. good chance youll find any faults or damage before finding out the hard way. less of a big deal on airrifles i guess. 3. get an idea of how somthing works mechanically ( might just be me that finds this intresting and preferes to know. overall it just gives me piece of mind knowing my gun is safe, clean, protected and ln full working order. edit: its 100% worth cleaning the barrel as you may get dieseling. at best it will make it inconsistent and unacurate at worst youll blow a seal and knack the gun.
