Lanber stock bolt, size

I have just picked up a lanber field gun,it has auto safety which i want to remove as i will mainly be iusing fo clays,can i find a socket to fit,tried everything from 5 mill upwards,its only a small bolt but its go me beat,any info would be greatly appriciated.

have you looked into the stock bolt hole with a torch as it could be a hex bolt or plain screw driver bolt

Or require an Allen key.

yes they are hexagon head screws cant remember size when i had mine

Could be 10 or 11 mm socket on a long bar. May also have a slot for screwdriver.

Usually a 12mm socket with a slot head for a long screwdriver also. But I did come across quite an old one with a 10mm socket and slot for long screw driver.

I bought a set of hex to 3/8 socket connectors off fleabay, around £8 for the set. I can now use an extension bar on my ratchet drive to remove/ replace stock bolt. Just do NOT overtighten  the bolt, easily done with a ratchet bar.

hi yes its a 6 mill hex bolt.i have just put it back together,after giving it a coat oil,its only four pigeons and the odd clay.i have gone on to a twenty now,i have compression in my spine and its effected my shooting no end.thanks for the reply.
