Cranfield
There are quite a few showing up around the Kent coast on the night tides and some fisherman are forecasting a good year for cod. The fish at the moment seem to be up to around 6 lbs, with 2-3 lb fish being the norm.
Guest The Outlaw
I hope to get out on the Dover breakwater this year a few times. I will let you know how it goes there. Tony
Suffolk shooter
Although I haven't been out as much as I should have been this year, namely nil times, a few of the guys I normally go with have actually been catching Cod and codling all year round off of East Anglia SS
Chard
There's been a few up here, from the Fylde Coast, and from the Mersey Estuary and from the Menai Straits in North Wales, but they seem a bit erratic. There's been half decent bags on one tide and nothing the next Size looks to be 1.5 - 3.5 pounds on average. Whiting are getting bigger They're still Bass fishing in the Straits and there's been a very respectable run of Thornbacks in the Mersey, they were still getting the rays off the proms a week or two back Loads of stonking great double figure Bull Huss off the rocky marks on Anglesey and strap Congers if you don't mind losing a few hundredweight of lead There's still a few Mackerel off the rocks on Anglesey too - weird
davo
The general buzz this season is that it's looking like a potentially good one, not that it could be much worse than the last couple of seasons. Hoping to get up the North east coastline, (Aberdeen, Arbroath) areas during the next couple of weeks.
monkeyboots
a few being caught my way north antrim coast (n.ireland) mostly 2-3lb i know a spot that fishes really well but needs to very rough and as its a rock mark it can be very dangerous so i tend to avoid it
Whitebridges
I fished Southwold - Gun Hill 6th November. Fished 6.35pm to 10.30pm. High Water about 9.00 o'clock 3 Codling 3lb 3oz, 2lb 2oz, 2lb 1oz (weighed) 7 Whiting (best 1lb). Bait: Fresh lug We've had loads of water and fairly high winds this week. The prospects of a few fish are very good.

I hope you get a few Cranners. They were mighty fine eating. Everyone is really bullish about the prospects in East Anglia. Cod should show well after the hoolie today. I got hold of some cracking herring this week. Can you believe they cost me a quid for 6 straight off the boat. I oak smoked some, grilled some and enjoyed the roe! Whitebridges
They were delicious SS. They are a couple of big sea sea fishing beach matches on this weekend. Both have entries of over 100 rods each. One is on Gt Yarmouth North beach and Hopton and the other is on Yarmouth South beach. I'll find out the weights as this will be a pretty good guage to the fishing.

Saturdays match was won with 10lb (Gt Yarmouth North and Hopton - NFSA job) Sundays ICCM (GT Yarmouth South) was won with 5lb 10oz. Norfolk won ofcourse thrashing the Suffolk swedes by a massive margin. Anglers coming in behind generally had poor results. Not a great return, but both were heavily effected by weed  ICCM results are: Here

I have only fished the north beach (I think that's where the birds eye pea factory is unless that was lowestoft ) once and found it to be tough going , with not a lot of features out in front to aim for. SS SS Try aimming at the wet stuff that normaly works :look: I'll be up Pakefield Beach this Christmas, lets hope the Tide times are in my favour, around 6-7-8pm high tide would be good. always use small squid bait stuffed with old Mackrel, sod paying those prices for Lug/Rag i'd rather catch nowt.
