JKD
Ok,,,, I thought I'd put this up as a bit of a giggle,,,, a bit of a nonsense post amongst all the 'seriousness' in this section π ππ€£ I was working on a renovation to a mid Victorian terrace house, and had to completely take out a chimney breast, from the ground floor kitchen area, right on through. On lifting the screed hearth, which came up in one piece, stuck to the underside was this 'tiny shovel' and a mother of pearl handled thread/button hook. So a his and hers good luck charm type of thing, I was thinking. Very much like these,,,,, The shovel is perfectly designed and looks to be made 'to scale' of an original from that era. What's that saying ? "Small things please,,,,,,, etc" π€π Anyway, it's 120mm long and quite rusty ππ

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, i do like these sort of Posts, in my time of working in the Building Trade about 20 years on old Property i found a few things hidden away , The last one was a late 16 th Century house where i had to take up some floor boards around the old fire place, the boards were replaced about 100 years before, i found a few chemist bottles, old copper coins and a complete clay pipe , now all kept by the owner, another old house was a mystery , just a few coins in a old leather purse, but the top room was a mystery, it was only locked from the outsideπ€ Edited April 10 by oldypigeonpopper

I've found other things under floors, in attics etc, some just interesting, but a couple of quite decent value π Once found a small tin tucked away, full of cash,,,, sterling and US$. Totalling Β£2300+ π Unfortunately, had to split it 3 ways π
