Old Boggy
The few times that I have been to Beccles, Robert Tilney’s shop has always been shut. It does look an interesting place to have a browse round and appears to be a haven of nostalgic memorabilia. Mixed views on Robert I know, but apparently his father was a good gunsmith. Still a good watch though. Thanks for posting Button. OB Edited April 14 by Old Boggy

OB For many years now it seems the shop has been almost abandoned, with Robert Tilney pursuing big money from the BBC for short appearances. Also he will be out shooting, fishing socialising etc.,the shop became insignificant. I knew him at Grammar school, rather a privileged spoilt brat who bullied and swanked. His father on the other hand was in the shop 5 or 6 days a week it was his business and main income source, did rather suck up to the local gentry and wealthy farmers though. marsh man
The shop had recently had a paint up although the colour do suit the age of the shop , only ever had one job done at Tilneys when Roberts father was alive , the gun I had at the time needed it's barrels blued , it was only alright , wasn't a brilliant job and just about passable , this might had been done by Robert rather than Lindsey , when I knew him the old man was very much into training gundogs which were mainly Labradors , our old keeper who once won the English Field Trial Championship said Lindsey was better at training gun dogs than he was at repairing guns , he might well have been right . Great video by the way MM
