3 section high seat

Recommended Posts

I used to own one of the above seats, but it was difficult, even with two people, to fit the sections together, never mind on my own. So I sold it. Is there any way that the sections could be fitted (welded I suppose) with hinges, so that it could fold down on itself etc?

Better to have the sections slide into each other than rely on hinges. I've got 2 made of 25mm x3mm Steel box with a piece welded that one slides into.

It's worth trying local architectural metalworkers if you have pictures of the one you're after and an idea of what you want modifying.

I will post pic of mine later.

I had one where the sections slotted into each other, but found it awkward and sometimes difficult to do this on my own.

RF.

Love the idea of the box, I'm thinking of something for mine. But It keeps  popping up in my head,  I will loose any shots to either side, so may end up just adding a top.

It gives a little more comfort in a down pour.

Eventually, if it happens often enough, you may learn not to sit there in a downpour!

Well having being born in the UK I've learnt to expect the unexpected regarding the weather. If I'm in a highseat and it rains I stop in the highseat hoping for the rain to stop. Making the most of my time out.

steve what i would say is squirrels will destroy the seating as its material i have seen it done

I agree with you there, and would, more than likely replace it with a portable one. To be honest, I wouldn't be leaving the high seat in situ anyway, as, in the past, my mate and I have had our camo nets etc stolen when we left our hide in the field for other's to use.
