Munzy
How has The Godfather not been mentioned. I genuinely think every single shot is a masterpiece! For anyone that enjoyed it, check out The Offer. It is a recent dramatised series based on the making of the movie through all of the challenges the producers faced (run-ins with the Mob, issues with the studio, fights with the cast etc). A brilliant watch with loads of little nods to the movie and hidden gems for nerds like me!
Gordon R
Munzy - when the Godfather was first released, I thought it was okay, but not brilliant. As time has passed and I have watched it many more times, I realised just how good it was. The attention to detail was superb. Godfather 2 was but, but I have never rated the third. They get better the more you watch them. I agree with you on the third. Will start reading Mario Puzo's book in the next few days, once I finish the non fiction 'Cosa Nostra - History of the Sicilian mafia'.
