put in a oven proof dish cover with baco foil.....45 mins at 180-200deg.......slam under VERY HOT GRILL....dry off under grill ..baste with ligonberry/cranberry molassis sugar cidre vinegar mix...under grill and crisp up well good....

result ...soft moist and juicey inside ..crisp and super sticky/tasty on the out side

It looks very nice, but the 'sweet' (the berries and molasses) and savoury (the meat) never sit happily for me.  I know all the classics;

  1. Lamb & red currant - but I prefer mint sauce
  2. Pork and apple - but I prefer sage and onion
  3. Gammon and pineapple - but I prefer English mustard
  4. Beef and horseradish - which is just perfect as is.

I must admit it do look taste'e , what sort of meat was in the meat balls ? . I had two burgers off Waitrose meat counter last night and they looked far better than they tasted , again it might be how I cooked them , I also had a bit of Haddock in bread crumbs I had left over from a pack of two I bought so I put the burgers in the oven with the fish and then finished them off in the pan , I just managed to eat one and my dog made short work of the other one , mind you I have got the steam veg down to a fine art :drinks:  MM

these one were pork...............regards your burgers...try this

all burgers are too dam thick...squash em down to 1/2"......put them in a oven dish with a cover then cook for 40 mins at 180-200degs....they will steam roast....turn thegrill on 5 mins before you need it then bang em under the hot grill until they are crisping up.....then serve

they will be moist and tender on the inside and crisp (nearly) on the outside
