Beretta 20g barrels

Recommended Posts

I’m having a clear out and first up is this set of Beretta 20g barrels. I bought these to use with my Silver Pigeon but I’ve never used them and they are just sitting in the cabinet so they may as well go.

They are 29.5 inches long so swing really nicely, and are choked at modified and improved cylinder with good ejectors. The bores are nice and clean and there are no dents. Externally, I would say they are about 8/10 but good for their age being date stamped AH which I think is 1994.

I would like £130 plus RFD fees but I’m willing to travel a bit if it helps. I’m in East Yorkshire.

Thanks

Why is there rfd fees? I thought you could just post barrels? Maybe I'm wrong but spare barrels do not go on your cerificate

Depends where they have come from , if bought from an rfd they will most definitely have to put on your certificate , if private them maybe not as in my case when I bought the odd semi auto barrel, but I got one from an rfd and he said they must go on cert if they are recorded which is what an rfd will do

Just shows, my firearms dept said spare barrels do not go cert only complete guns

I guess all depends on your rfd, if your lucky it won’t go on , but if they’re already on his ticket as spare barrel then will need to go on buyers ticket to show transfer

Good evening all,

In November 2022 the Home Office released new guidance and barrels are now referred to as a “relevant component part” and “is a firearm in its own right”.

Makes sense really, otherwise people could post all the bits separately to be reassembled later.

Anyway, I value my freedom so it’s RFD or face to face with a certificate or nowt! 👍

Cheers

Herein lies the demise of shooting sports in this country. The firearms departments are making up new policies every day. I'm sure that there are an amount of people on here,,, me being one of them who would love to have these barrels to play with and see whether they fit my gun and how they would perform.  But with all the paperwork and hassle involved it's just too  much faff.  Now basic are supposed to be standing up for shooting sports ,,, but do absolutely nothing to challenge departments who just make up rules and stories. Hopeless.  You only have to look at the guns for sale section to see how many guns even get a comment let alone an offer or a sale.
