ditchman
The weather looks to be clear and it is supposed to be the best night to view a cosmic light show of meteors emanating from the Pliadese cluster...this will get into action after 12 with 40-60 meteors/minit burning up in our skies travellingat many miles/second they are only the size of a grain of sand but beacause of the speed upon reaching our atmoshere they will heat up due to friction to 1500 degs to 5000degs.....thus unlocking enormous ammonts of energy in the form of light it makes you wonder when the dino's dissapeared as a result of a semi nuclear winter when a meteor bigger than the size of manhatten hit earth and formed the chicksulub crater...........the release of energy must have been colussal and unimjinal the predictions of cosmic light shows can be very inaccurate.....but i will watch anyway........ i have been watching the skies for the last week and have seen some good meteors......to-nite might be a cracker.......12 o'clock onwards

Smokersmith
Saw one on my way to the airport at an ungodly hour this morning. As a fowler … you get to see plenty during a season in the small hours.
