London Best
Decided to offer these on here before I cart them to Melbourne Airgun Fayre. Airsporter Mk.1…..22 cal. Taper barrel model. Automatic tap opening. Bought new by a friend in 1957 and bequeathed to my collection on his death in 2013. Used by him but definitely not abused. Good working order (I fire half a dozen shots each year from all in my collection). Full original finish. Good blueing. Original etching visible. Original sights present. Original foresight hood (rocking horse poo). A Mk.1 so no scope grooves. One piece walnut stock in good condition complete with original pistol grip plug. £250. Airsporter Mk.2……22 cal. Braized barrel model. Automatic tap opening. Bought new in 1965 by a school friend who became a famous International pigeon racer. Used only to shoot the occasional rat around his pigeon loft and passed to my collection about 1998 with the remainder of his original tin of 500 pellets. It has fired maybe another 100 pellets since then. Good working order. Original finish. Good blueing but one thumb print on the barrel (see second photo). Original etching visible as new. Original sights present (folding rear sight). A late production Mk.2 so grooved with standard scope rail and not the earlier two separate wider grooves. Three piece walnut stock in good condition. £250. Collection preferred from DE7. Test firing welcome if collected.

psycho
The ultimate air rifle when I was young.... My mate said his brothers friend had one and he could light a match sticking in the ground using the open sights at 100 yards and that is how good they are... Graham M
The Mk1 developed a ME of between 9 and 10 ft lbs and at 100 yds had the trajectory of a rainbow. Bloody good rifle and yes I do have one.....................................but striking a match at 100yds with those open sights....................... Methinks your mate's brother's friend is pulling your chain a little.😉 Edited October 10 by Graham M
