Mr.T
How can someone who claims to be the environment journalist of the year have something like this published in one of the national newspapers? What chance does the shooting community got when such rubbish is being reported ?
Newbie to this
Write to the paper asking for their evidence.
Scully
I’d write to the paper involved if you’re not happy, but it’s a can of worms which is a perpetual loop really as even our shooting representatives have for years now been telling us how toxic and detrimental to the health of wild birds and flora/fauna lead is. The fact is that shooters will continue using lead shot until it is banned, so it’s only going to be resolved one way.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, When I did my metal detecting over many may years lead items was the most found, The clubs had buckets for scrap lead and most were filled by the end of day, I do not think small shot has much affect on land but over water it could be picked up by water fowl but now changed to steel so that has been a good change, As for air rifle pellets, Who in their right mind shoots over water? shooting Swan/ Swans with an Air Rifle should carry a much hefty sentence but these people are rarely caught, As for the article it is the usual gob ****
Genghis
The Daily Mirror is the most anti-shooting newspaper there is, even more so than The Guardian. They will take any opportunity to publish an article which attacks shooting.
